They check for many forms of inconsistencies, punctuation, spelling, consistent use of punctuation, factual cross-referencing. All changes will be tracked so that you will have the chance to review them once it returns. You’ll also receive a second clean revised copy. This is the version to use if submitting to agents and publishers.
Once you’ve sent your manuscript in for copy edit review, you will be notified on whether it will need Light, Standard or Extensive Copy Editing depending on the number of inconsistencies and issues found.
